The Empty Room
Dad feeds little Lucy Duc
Our visit today with Lucy was unlike any we've had so far. Instead of working along side the nannies and playing with all the babies, we were instead escorted, with Lucy, to an empty classroom and told we could remain their with Lucy for two hours. We, of course, smiled and complied, but in our hearts we felt a bit sad. Had we offended the staff in some way? Was our conduct just so different (most families don't pay so much attention to babies other than their own I guess) that they weren't sure what to do with us? Maybe they were afraid we'd want to bring one of the other babies home with us too:). Who knew. But, regardless of the reason, we spent our time very much alone with Lucy. We shared our visit with another family here to adopt from the States. It felt so quiet to be without the other babies and the sing-song speak of the nannies. Alone with Lucy and her quiet little self.

A little fun with black and white, what a darling
doll!

Lucy's tempermant
Lucy has a calm and peaceful tempermant. We've not yet heard a cry, only a whimper when she left our arms to be placed in her crib. Her disposition seems so mature, so "I know your my family and I'm glad your finally with me". We've heard lovely coos, sweet squaks and even some darling giggles. Her cuddley nature is delicious to me, and we revel in holding her close.
